DISPATCH // 10 APRIL
We just took a trip into Mosul. This is some of what we encountered:
• Kids digging through trash, trying to find food for their families
• A woman asking for help to retrieve the bodies of her husband and four children, all of whom she had lost just days prior
• ISIS tunnels between civilians' homes
• 'Kill Teams' and bodies on display in the streets to discourage people from escaping
We stopped our convoy when we found the kids digging through trash and gave them proper food and clean water. We brought fruit, shoes, medical support, and—most importantly—the name of King Jesus into this city devastated by war and the carnage of the Caliphate.
"The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me, for the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed."
– Isaiah 61:1
